You could use paper, old plastic bags, clean food wrappings, newspapers...anything you like - get creative with what you have lying around the house. We will all be making one in my house (whether they like it or not!)...watch this space for our results!
I'd love to post all of our Markington families! (Remember to write each person's name on them too!)

Fantastic 'The Great Indoors' Activities from the Scouts...
'We know the coming days and weeks are going to be difficult for families across the UK, as the spread of Covid-19 causes schools to close. As the experts in developing skills and bringing adventure to young people, we want to do what we can to help.
While we normally love the great outdoors, we’ve pulled together some inspired indoor activity ideas (if we do say so ourselves). Keep your kids learning new skills and having fun (and avoid hearing ‘I’m bored’ every 30 seconds) all in #TheGreatIndoors.
We hope you found these activities helpful. They’re free - of course! - but if you like what you've seen and want to chip in to help us keep the activities coming, you can make a donation here.'

Living History - Alternative Ways to Record Memories
Our children are living through history right now. When they grow older they will look back on these times, their children, and even their grandchildren will ask them what it was like, what they can remember. For many of our children and families their memories will be about lots of precious family time together.
Perhaps they can make a time capsule? - see below for a printable template of time capsule resources.
OR you could keep 'alternative' diary togetherlike the ones in the stories below:
Some children will enjoy listening to this story and might like to keep their own 'matchbox' diary. Click the link to hear it being read: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_kpdlXU-nP0
Memory Bottles by Beth Shoshan is possibly my most favourite story ever. When my children were little, we borrowed it from the library so many times, that in the end, I decided we needed our own copy! Since then I've bought lots of copies, and given them as gifts - sometimes to the teachers of my children so that they can read it to their class!
I hope you enjoy it too:

Make your own (NO SEW) Easter Bunny
Getting ready for Easter in many countries heralds new life of Spring and as Bunnies usually have lots of cute babies so it's a symbol of growth.
Watch this clip or follow the instruction below - or you might need to do both! (They do vary a little, but you'll get the idea! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=giqTWcq6nFk
You will need
Some OLD SOCKS - 3-4 of them.
(Daddy's/Mummy large ones are good but any little will do too. See if you can find the ones which have holes in the toes or the ones that lost a pair.)
2-3 rubber bands /elastic hair ties.
Scissors
Glue
Googly eyes or handdrawn paper eyes.
Marker (to draw the mouth)
A bit of wool or a pompom for a tail.
Ribbons
Choose which sock will be the best colour for your bunny. Now Roll up any two other socks in a ball and stuff it into the bunny sock. Tie an elastic securely tight. That's the neck bit.
Next roll another sock in a smaller ball. Again stuff in the bunny sock. Tie again. That's the head.
Now the bit on top left over. Snip it down the middle 2/3rd way to the elastic. If you do all the way you will get floppy ears. Cut from edge to middle if you want pointy ears.
Draw eyes, mouth, eyebrows etc.
Decorate with ribbons, hairclips etc.
Can you name it? Read up all the books you can find about rabbits. Research their eating, sleeping, family habits. Are they similar to your family habits?
