Special Educational Needs
The SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) is Emily Bayley. She can be contacted via email: emily.bayley@markington.n-yorks.sch.uk
Your support for your child’s education is crucial to their progress. Please tell us if there are any adjustments we need to make, to help you support your child.
For example: letters in large font; letters in different languages; wheelchair access; explaining things over the phone; a discussion with a school colleague of the same gender.
Upcoming Events
SEND Coffee and Chat
Many thanks to all those who attended our SEND Coffee and Chat. It was a fantastic opportunity to come together, share experiences, and reflect on our journeys as parents, carers and teachers of children with additional needs.
During the session, we discussed ways in which we can work collaboratively to further support our children both at home and in school. As a result of our first meeting, we are pleased to share details of some upcoming specialist workshops that will be taking place in school.
If you were unable to attend our previous Coffee and Chat, we would love for you to join us at a future session if the date and time are convenient. Should you require copies of any workshop materials or further information, please do not hesitate to contact our SENCo, Emily Bayley
